Architecture of Database Systems
Content
The lecture is dedicated to implementation-level concepts
in conventional database systems.
It presents the general architecture of a database system.
The distinction among schema architecture, system architecture
and application architecture is considered in
greater detail.
In this context the layered architecture,
representing the foundation of all databases architectures,
carries a special emphasis.
